To counteract intense mechanical friction and corrosive outgassing, we utilize base alloys such as 38CrMoAlA, supplemented with PTA (Plasma Transferred Arc) welding of nickel- or cobalt-based tungsten carbide alloys on flight tips. This creates a surface hardness of 60–65 HRC.
